Program:

"Gran Torino, the Movie and Relationships"

Based on the Clint Eastwood movie, "Gran Torino", we will explore the complex relationships of the characters in the movie. There will be ample time for Small Groups and the opportunity to develop great relationships with other Men at the Retreat.

We highly recommend you watch the movie, Gran Torino, prior to attending the retreat.

Session #1: Pete Yazzolino: Relationships of Walt Kowalski with his sons and their families

Session #2: Ken Ewing: Relationships of Walt Kowalski with Sue Lor and the Hmong culture

Session #3: Gary Heikkinen: Relationships of Walt Kowalski with Thao Lor and his efforts to reform Thao.

Session #4: Pastor Jim Doherty: Relationship of Walt with the priest of his wife's church

What does faith bring to those great challenges?
The bible is full of men of God navigating these difficult waters. Christian men of all ages have their own stories of God's presence in their navigating life's big adventure.

This event will lead men to God's presence in the challenges and power of these everyday struggles and accomplishments.
